GRE Exam Structure

1. Verbal Reasoning (130-170 points): This section in the GRE exam will test your ability to understand and analyze written material. You will answer questions on reading comprehension, sentence equivalence, and text completion.

2. Quantitative Reasoning (130-170 points): The quantitative section assesses your mathematical skills and your ability to solve problems using concepts from arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.

3. Analytical Writing (0-6 points): This section measures your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively. You will be required to write two essays—an Issue Task and an Argument Task—demonstrating your critical thinking and writing abilities.

The GRE exam also includes unscored experimental sections, which the test-makers use to test new questions for future exams. However, these sections do not impact your score.

Familiarize yourself with the structure of the GRE test and the types of questions you will encounter in each section. This will help you manage your time and reduce stress on exam day.

2. Practice Regularly

Regular practice is key to improving your GRE score. Take time each day to work on practice problems, read academic texts, and write essays. This will help you build the skills needed for each section.
